President Donald Trump will deliver remarks from the White House at 11 a.m. Wednesday following Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on two airbases in Iraq that house U.S. armed forces.
Hours after the Tuesday night missile strikes, which Iraqi officials said caused no casualties, Trump tweeted that “all is well” and said he planned to issue a statement the following morning.

The official White House Twitter account said the speech was planned for 11 a.m.

C-SPAN and the White House will live stream the president’s remarks, which will also be televised and live streamed by CNN, Fox News and major networks.
According to C-SPAN, Trump will speak from the grand foyer of the White House. Vice President Mike Pence will join Trump during the address, CNN reported.
What will the president focus on?
Iranian leaders, who vowed to avenge last week’s U.S. drone strike that killed Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani and heightened tensions across the Middle East, called the missile strikes the first steps of retaliation.
Trump, the Pentagon and the president’s backers have argued the strike against Soleimani, a longtime military and intelligence commander whose operations killed hundreds of Americans, saved lives and staved off an imminent threat targeting Americans. The administration has offered no evidence of potential attacks thwarted by Soleimani’s assassination.
Multiple Trump administration officials told CNN that they believe Iran intentionally avoided casualties in the retaliatory strikes to prevent escalation. Iraq’s Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi said in a statement that Iraqi officials were notified of the nearly two dozen strikes in advance.
While Trump’s initial message after Tuesday night’s strikes was upbeat and Iranian leaders hinted that they did not want further escalation, pushing American troops out of the Middle East remains Iran’s goal.
In a tweet Wednesday morning, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani credited Soleimani for “his war on terror,” and said “our final answer to his assassination will be to kick US forces out of the region.”
